Vehicle Service Road Enhancement Project Phase 2: Taxiways C, C6, C7 & VSR C
Phase 2 of the Vehicle Service Road (VSR) Enhancement Project will commence on Monday, 3/17/25. This phase includes several taxiway and VSR closures.

Vehicle Service Road Enhancement Project Phase 1B: Taxiway C & Post 2
Phase 1B of the Vehicle Service Road (VSR) Enhancement Project will commence on Monday, 3/3/25. This phase includes a vehicle service road detour from Post 2 to VSR C and a closure on Taxiway C.

Taxiway C Closure Between Taxiway L and Taxiway B13: February 20, 2025 -- April 28, 2025
Taxiway C between Taxiway L and Taxiway B13 will be closed for construction activities for the MSC South Project starting on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 0700 PST and is scheduled to reopen on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 1600 PDT.

Runway 6R-24L Continuous Closure for Construction Activities
Runway 6R-24L will be closed for 64 continuous hours starting on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 0030 PST and is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 1630 PST. 
There are several taxiway closures associated with this continuous runway closure listed below:
  • Taxiway E closed between Taxiways D7 and E6.
  • Taxiways E6, E7 and E8 closed between Runway 6R-24L and Taxiway E.
  • Taxiway S closed between Runway 6L-24R and Taxiway E.

Vehicle Service Road Enhancement Project Phase 1: Taxiway C5
The first phase of the Vehicle Service Road (VSR) Enhancement Project will commence on 2/18/25. This project will affect both the VSR and adjacent taxiways. Additional phases of this project will include VSR C from Taxiways C6 to C10 and are scheduled for March.

Taxiway C Restriction to ADG III and Smaller Between Taxiway L and Taxiway B13
Taxiway C between Taxiway L and Taxiway B13 will be restricted to ADG III and smaller type aircraft for the MSC South Project construction activities starting on Wednesday, January 08, 2025 at 0630 PST through Monday, April 28, 2025 at 1630 PST.

Taxiway C Wingspan Restriction to A321 / B737 and smaller for MSC South Project Construction Activities 
Taxiway C between Taxiway L and Taxiway B13 will be restricted to A321 / B737 and smaller type aircraft (wingspan less than 118 feet) for the MSC South Project construction activities starting on Monday, January 06, 2025 at 0030 PST through Monday, April 28, 2025 at 1630 PST

Runway 6R-24L Continuous Closure: December 9, 2024 at 0030 PST to December 11, 2024 at 1630 PST
Runway 6R-24L will be closed for 64 continuous hours starting on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 0030 PST and is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 1630 PST. 
 
There are several taxiway closures associated with this continuous runway closure. The taxiway closures are as follows:
  • Taxiway E closed between Taxiways D7 and E6
  • Taxiways E6, E7, E8 and E10 closed between Runway 6R-24L and Taxiway E
  • Taxiways S, T and U closed between Runway 6L-24R and Taxiway E
  • Please note that Runway 6R-24L will not be available for back taxi

Taxiway C Continuous Closure for Pavement Rehabilitation: 12/9/24 - 12/13/24
Taxiway C between Taxilane C8 and Gate 57 will be closed continuously for 5 days beginning on Monday December 9, 2024 at 0100 PST, and will be reopened on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 0800 PST. This closure is required to facilitate repaving a section of asphalt on Taxiway C, south of Terminal 5, followed by taxiway markings restoration.

Runway 6L-24R Continuous Closure: November 18, 2024 at 0030PDT to November 21, 2024 at 1230PDT

Runway 6L-24R will be closed for 84 continuous hours starting on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 0030 PDT, and will be reopened Thursday November 21, 2024 at 1230 PDT. Airlines that operate ADG VI type aircraft (A380 and B747-8) can expect Runway 24L and Runway 25L for arrivals and departures while Runway 6L-24R is closed.

LAX Standard Taxi Route Name Changes
Two of the LAX Standard Taxi Routes that Air Traffic Control assigns have changed names. The old West Route is now known as the Sunset Route and the old Bridge Route is now theCoastal RoutePlease note, the routes have not changed, just the names.
