SIDA Badge Icon Airfield Training Courses

Airfield_ClassesAttention:

To obtain the Air Traffic Control (ATC), Aircraft Surface Movement (ASM), AOA Familiarization (AOA FAM), and Restricted Area Driver (RAD) Icons, applicants must take a course and successfully pass the test at the end in the Los Angeles World Airport’s (LAWA’s) Computer Based Training (CBT) portal at training.lawa.org

Each applicant is required to have a profile which will be created during the employee’s fingerprint appointment. The profile will be used by the employee for the entire tenure of their employment as a LAX badged employee. Existing employees with a profile from the previous training platform will be automatically assigned a profile along with the training assigned and will receive this information via email sent by CSBadging@lawa.org. If an existing employee has not received an email with their log-in information or missing courses, contact BadgeTrainingSupport@lawa.org.

Upon successful completion of required training, the applicant will go to their badge appointment with a completed application and required documents. The credentialing system (CS) will recognize the result of the tests taken by the employee and automatically calculate the new badge’s expiration date.
Please see below for details on each class.
